Strike 3 Holdings, LLC has continued its aggressive enforcement campaign, filing more than one hundred new copyright infringement lawsuits in federal courts across the country between April 15 and April 17, 2026. The cases, captioned Strike 3 Holdings, LLC v. Doe, name anonymous defendants identified solely by their IP addresses and allege unauthorized reproduction and distribution of copyrighted content through peer-to-peer file-sharing networks.
The filings span sixteen federal judicial districts, stretching from Florida and Texas to New York, Maryland, Massachusetts, Virginia, and beyond. Strike 3 Holdings has built its enforcement model around geolocation data and BitTorrent tracking technology, using that information to identify IP addresses allegedly connected to the unauthorized downloading and distribution of its works. Once a complaint is filed, the company moves quickly for early discovery — typically a subpoena to the relevant internet service provider — in order to unmask the identity of the subscriber behind each IP address.
The window to act in these cases can be somewhat narrow.
